Documentary History
The focus of this research was “Living and working around Great Asby 100 years ago. The primary documents used were the 1910 tax valuation, held at the National Archive Unit in Kew, and the 1910 census which had recently been published. An interpretive panel was produced which is on display in the Bus Shelter, and a booklet with drawings and descriptions of 39 buildings around the greens and their occupants in 1910. A history of St Peters Church was also produced.
